Social Responsibility
My art and fashion support women, small business owners, and previously disadvantages communities, and reflects my commitment to responsible consumption by creating sustainable fashion.
I prioritize sourcing 90% of my art materials locally in South Africa. This supports local businesses, reduces my carbon footprint, and promotes community sustainability. I’m committed to fostering a symbiotic relationship between my creativity and environmental well-being.

My choice of textiles prioritizes comfort and quality while simultaneously minimizing environmental impact. Fabrics undergo local printing with eco-friendly water-based pigments in South Africa, heat-cured without harmful chemicals, saving water and energy. I’m dedicated to ethical practices, supporting local artisans, and preserving natural resources for future generations.
My garment manufacturer of choice is a Social Business, focusing on the objective to uplift and empower young women in disadvantaged communities around Cape Town by educating and employing them. Their accelerator programme offers a fully sponsored SETA accredited “One Year General Education & Training Certificate in Clothing Manufacturing Process” course at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Garment Technology. This manufacturer is a boutique CMT, which employs graduates, helping them to gain financial independence, and is a Public Benefit Organisation with level 1 BBBEE status.
